Manitou was showing a re-engineered version of the popular MT1840 telehandler at Samoter.

Two new products in the telehandler range were being shown by Manitou at the Samoter exhibition the MRT 2150 Privaledge hybrid diesel/electric machine and the re-engineered MT 1840.

The MRT 2150 has a maximum lift height of 20.6 m and a 5t capacity. It is a rotating turret machine which, Manitou says makes it suitable for running from an electric supply when the machine is stationary. The concept is, that once in position, if the machine is going to operating from a single location for a period of time, it can be plugged into and run from a 380V supply. The hybrid option could be fitted to all rotating models.

The design changes to the MT1840 include a chain boom for faster operation, an updated cab design and operator interface, which includes on-board diagnostics for fast repair should a problem arise.

The MT 1840is one of Manitou's most highly selling models, it offers 17.5m lifting heigh and a maximum capacity of 4t. With aman basket the operator has a working height of 19.3m. All Manitou telehandlers conform to EN15000
