Elliott Equipment in the US has launched a new 40 US ton (36 tonne) capacity boom truck.

The 40105 has a 105 foot (32 m) powered main boom with 115 foot (35 m) tip height and a 32 to 49 foot (9.8 to 15 m) two-piece jib. A 360 degree chart for use without front stabiliser is also available, as is tractor mount configuration.

Precise rotation is handled by the glide swing system, while easy jib deployment is provided by the company's FrictionFree device. There is also a load moment indicator and wide area definition system.

"This 40 US ton model demonstrates Elliott's commitment to developing the best performing line of material handling solutions in the industry. We have worked extensively with users of this equipment to give them the features and ability to lift and do more with this product than with any other unit in its class," said Jim McKeown, Elliott vice president sales.
