New Versalift mid-range set for Bauma

Time Manufacturing will launch four mid-range Versalift van mounts, the first of which will be introduced at Bauma 2013.

The new range will offer working heights of 12.5 to 15 m and be mounted on a 3.5 tonne van. It follows light and heavy duty ranges launched over the last 18 months.

Per Torp, export manager for Time Export in Denmark, told AI why the company had decided to launch the products. “It is important to have a different combination for each market. The medium range is specific to the UK market, and sold in Ireland and France, while the heavy duty line is specific for Germany, Scandinavia, Belgium and Holland, but of course is available all over Europe. The light duty is specific to France and Spain,”

The first machine in the medium range will be launched at Bauma 2013 in Munich, Germany, and it is due to be completed by the end of this year. It will be available with a new control system, which will provide faster, easier operation, adds Mr Torp, although the main specifications will remain anonymous until the launch.

“We have had some good years and not suffered too much in the market so we had capacity and the possibilities of spending a good deal of money on new design, and decided about three years ago we wanted to keep our position in the market, and the way to do that is always be up to date with the latest technology,” explained Mr Torp.

Expansion is underway at the Denmark-based facility, with an additional 7000 square metres being added to the existing 4000 to 5000 square metres currently in existence. It will accommodate the production of the previously mentioned models. Completion is expected by the end of February this year.
