Atlas Copco's new 'Essential' medium sized MB breaker.

Atlas Copco has launched a new 'Essential' variant to its MB range of medium hydraulic breakers. The company says these hammers are directed towards a different market segment than its standard MB range.

The company says the units are high performance, low weight hammers with only essential features. This means they do not have the ContiLube II automatic lubrication system or the noise protection kit found on other full-spec MB breakers. However, it said the high impact power and good power-to-weight ratio was the same.

There are five Essential breakers available, covering the 10 - 32 tonne carrier classes. The weight of the units, all of which are designated with an 'E' on the end of the product number, range from 750 kg to 1700 kg
