Patrik Nolåker, president of Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation Division will become president

Patrik Nolåker, president of Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation Division will become president and CEO of the Alimak Hek Group at the beginning of 2010.

From January 1 2010 Patrik Nolåker will take over from Petter Arvidson as president and CEO of the Alimak Hek Group. Mr Arvidson has decided to retire after seven years with the Group.

Patrik Nolåker is currently president of Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation Division, which is part of the Atlas Copco Group. He joined Atlas Copco in 2001 as President of the Geotechnical Drilling and Exploration Equipment division and moved on to his current position as President of the Underground Rock Excavation Division in 2006. Patrik Nolåker also made a career within ABB from 1988 to 2001.

Mr. Nolåker said, "For over 20 years I have been working in two great large companies. What I like with Alimak Hek is the opportunity to work in a smaller group and with that influence all aspects of its business. Even if it is a smaller group it has complex products and services in an international environment - an environment I'm used to. Last but not least, the company is in better shape than many others in the current crisis. This is important and provides potential to expand the Group to new levels in the future".

Magnus Lindquist, chairman of the Alimak Hek Group said, "Petter Arvidson has successfully developed Alimak Hek to a profitable global market leader and he will remain on the board of directors of Alimak Hek. We expect Patrik Nolåker, with his very strong track record, to take Alimak Hek to new levels of profitable growth in the future together with all the employees".
