Nordic Crane Vest AS, part of Crane Norway Group, has ordered eight new Demag all terrain cranes, ranging from 130 to 250 tonnes lifting capacities, from manufacturer Terex Cranes. In addition, the company has already taken delivery of a new 650 tonne Demag CC 3800-1 lattice boom crawler crane.

Trond Helge Skretting, Crane Norway Group CEO, commented, “As a leading supplier for crane rentals for oil, gas and wind turbine applications in the Norwegian market, Crane Norway Group AS has invested NOK 200 million [US$30 million] in the last 12 months on new cranes, trucks and transport equipment to strengthen its position as a trusted supplier of lifting and transportation services in Norway.””

The additional eight all terrain cranes on order — three Demag AC 250-5s, two AC 160-5s and three AC 130-5s — will be delivered throughout the year and will be added to the company’s existing fleet of nearly 40 Demag and Terex cranes.
