NTS opens trench and traffic branch in Los Angeles

National Trench Safety (NTS), the Houston-based company that rents and sells trench and traffic safety equipment, has opened a new branch in Los Angeles, California, its fifteenth location in the US.

The company said it planned to open another branch before the end of the year with more to follow in 2013, although declined to say where the additional locations will be.

Ron Chilton, president of NTS, said; “Los Angeles is the second largest metropolitan area in the United States and has an extensive amount of construction and economic activity.

“We have received a lot of feedback from our customer base and our primary traffic safety product vendor, Trinity Industries, requesting an NTS presence within the market.”

The Los Angeles branch will be managed by Tom Hartman, a trench and traffic safety equipment veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. “Tom is a well-known, respected industry veteran and a co-founder of NTS”, said Mr Chilton, “He has built a strong and highly experienced team to operate the new branch.

“The good news is the market clearly is responding well to our new operation and we are already seeing strong orders from the customers in the market place”.

NTS has operations in Arizona, California, Louisiana, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Utah. It has the objective of creating a nationwide network of trench and traffic safety branches.
