China: Six new nuclear reactors are to be built in China's south eastern province of Fujian. The state run energy provider China National Nuclear Corporation and China Huadian Group signed an agreement last month to build the 1000 MW reactors.

The new reactors form part of China's national energy strategy which has set the target for the country's nuclear power generation to reach 40000 MW by 2020.
