Oil&Steel will be showing a new truck mount at Bauma designed particularly for the Dutch and German markets. The Snake 2714 Compact has a 27 m working height and 14.5 m outreach on a 3.5 t chassis.

Oil&Steel says that the Snake 2714 Compact has been developed to satisfy the need for higher access platforms installed on 3.5 t trucks. "In countries like Netherlands and Germany the access to city centres is limited for trucks exceeding 3.5 t GVW. "

The truck can be driven with B+E driving licenses because the aerial element is installed not directly onto the truck chassis but onto a connected trailer which adds a third axle taking the available load up to 6.5 t.

The Snake 2714 has a basket capacity of 300kg and with the boom retracted is 2.75 m high.

The stabilisation system allows the operator to choose to set the outriggers in three different ways: totally closed, one opened and one closed and both opened. Depending on the stabilisers' settings the boom will restrict movement to the safest working area.
