Italian manufacturer Oil & Steel has unveiled the new Snake 2311 Compact REL truck mounted platform at an event for customers and its sales and technical network held at the Ducati motorcycle factory, Bologna.

The machine has a 22.8m working height and a 10.3m outreach on a 3.5t GVW chassis.

The machine has four vertically deploying stabilizing jacks that can be moved independently and individually while remaining within the footprint of the truck. They are designed to be suitable for use on even the most delicate of surfaces without the damage caused by dragging.

The double pantograph structure of the boom allows the operator to make accurate vertical movements described as "plumb-line manoeuvres" and allows it to negotiate obstacles 8m high.

The basket can rotate by +/-90° around the vertical axis and has a maximum capacity of 200kg

The mounted structure is managed with a manual/electric hydraulic distributor, with dual controls that can be used to make a number of manoeuvres simultaneously.

The Snake 2311 Compact REL is combined in a compact package 6.494m long, 2124m wide and 2.4m high.

Oil & Steel will be demonstrating the new machine at APEX 14-16 September MECC Maastricht.
