Cargotec's marine cargo handling company MacGregor, has received ship crane orders valued around ∈ 113 million (US$ 15 million).

Some 278 ship cranes, with hoisting capacities between 30 and 36 tonnes, will be built for 72 bulk carriers in China and India between 2008 and 2011. The company will supply a further 42 ship cranes for vessels to be built in China and Taiwan with lifting capacities between 40 and 200 tonnes. COSCO in China will take eight 200 tonne capacity cranes with double control systems and auxiliary hoists for container handling.

Germany-based company Peter Döhle will equip six container ships with 45 tonne capacity cranes, while Cido Shipping in Hong Kong has ordered a series of 40 tonne capacity cranes for three vessels. Delivery will be between 2008 and 2010.

Polish-Chinese shipowner Chipolbrok has ordered a further four ship board twin cranes to upgrade the cargo handling capabilities of four of its Chipolbrok vessels, built in the 1990s. They will have a 150 tonne lifting capacity at 20 m radius and 90 tonnes at 28 m. Delivery is due during this year and next.
