Paclite Equipment used the bauma China show to launch its latest lighting product, the PL2000 Eco LED V6, the company’s first LED lamp tower and its most energy efficient.

Paclite’s managing director, Kent Gorsun, told IRN that the unit is powered by an air-cooled Hatz 1B-30 engine that will consume just 0.5 litres per hour of operation, which equates to 160 hours of lighting on a full tank.

He said another feature that will attract rental companies is its low weight, under 750 kg, which means the tower can be towed on a normal driving licence. The low weight is achieved by using a composite material canopy as well as a composite fuel tank.

The units, which has an 8 m high powered mast, is mounted on a German-built Al-Ko trailer. It is assembled in France and will have a retail price or around €12,500.

Paclite is the European, African and Middle East brand used for products produced in Asia by Singapore-based Uni-Corp. Hoppt is its Asian brand, while in North America its products are sold by ESI and through Allen Engineering.

Mr Gorsun said that Paclite would have a flat 2016, with better sales in Europe offset by a decline in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia.
