Palfinger Platforms is extending its Jumbo class platform range with the P320 a truck-mounted access platform with a working height of 32 m.

The P 320 has been developed and designed for mounting on vehicles with a GVW of 12 t, it is expected to open up new areas of use particularly in the inner-city segment. Palfinger Platforms anticipates its use in locations such as historic old towns or inner-city models with extensive tunnel systems, underground railways and multi-storey car parks, this is why the company is calling it, "Citystar".

The P 320, has a dual telescopic extension boom and telescopic basket arm in conjunction with a maximum basket load of 700 kg,

The machine has a redesigned ergonomic control panel: the operator receives all the important information about the operating conditions of the platform and truck and intuitive, symbol-driven menu navigation makes working easier. There is less risk of damage due to minimum overhang of the panel outside the contours of the basket. The new panel is also distinguished by ease of maintenance: modular construction of the operating elements (display, membrane keypad and joysticks are divided into segments that can be replaced from the outside) ensures maximum accessibility for fast replacement of components.

All units of the Jumbo class have automated extension and retraction for the lifting equipment and vertical stabilisers and an automatic system which makes the maximum outreach dependent on the setup inclination (up to 2°). The stabilisers continually test the ground pressures until the unit is released and also during operation.
