Less than one year after construction began, the 10-lane Gateway Bridge to the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai is more than 80% complete.

Scheduled for completion in November 2005, the design comprises two five-lane bridges, one in each direction.

Each is 360 m long by 26 m wide, and will link directly to Sheikh Zayed Road from the Soufah Interchange, which is also under construction.

The design concept was created by H2L2 Architects/Planners.
