Scaffolding and formwork specialist Peri has achieved Achilles BuildingConfidence Accreditation.

BuildingConfidence is a supply chain standard designed for the construction industry and addresses areas including safety, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, quality and financial stability.

Alasdair Stables, Peri managing director, said, “BuildingConfidence is becoming widely recognised as the standard for supplier excellence within construction and is being adopted by major contractors to evaluate their supply chains, drive up performance and forge long term relationships with suppliers."

BuildingConfidence adds to a range of other standards achieved by Peri, including, Investors In People, ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management and Forest Stewardship Council Global Forest Certification.

The company, which is one of the first in its sector to achieve the accreditation, says it will provide greater confidence to its existing and future customers, as the audit report and pre-qualification questionnaire are accessible to all companies who are members of the programme.

Mr Stables added, “By joining the scheme, Peri has joined a list of ‘Blue Chip’ organisations that includes Balfour Beatty, British Land, Costain, Kier, Sir Robert McAlpine and Tarmac”.
