Peri is providing scaffolding, formwork and shoring solutions for the construction of a new satellite terminal at Munich Airport

Peri is currently supplying a range of access, including formwork, scaffolding and engineering services, to main contractor Hochtief Solutions for its construction work on the new satellite terminal at Terminal 2, Munich Airport.

Construction work is taking place while the airport maintains normal operations. Therefore, work needs to comply with high security measures, and be expedited speedily.

Peri Up scaffolding is being used to shield the construction site from airport operations as well as providing scaffold for the façade contractors as they work on the composite steel construction. Peri is also providing a shoring solution along with formwork technology.

In total, the scaffold covers a 600 m long and 21 m high area, providing separation from the airfield. Scaffolding contractor Gloser was responsible for the assembly and management of the scaffold on site.

The 600 m long and up to 80 m wide new airport building is connected via an underground automated people mover (APM) system to Terminal 2. Airport operator FMG and Lufthansa are funding the project together, with a total investment amounting to €650 million.
