Share holders have approved Perini's proposal to change the company's name to Tutor Perini. The decision follows last year's merger with Tutor Sliba.

Formally called Tutor Perini Corporation, the company has also changed its New York Stock Exchange ticker symbol to TPC.

Chairman and CEO Ronald N. Tutor said, "This name change reflects both the successful merger in 2008 with Tutor-Saliba Corporation... as well as the ongoing evolution of the company's business into a more integrated and geographically diversified general contractor."
