Pettibone's latest Traverse tele

07 March 2008

Introduced at its International Partner Retreat in October, Pettibone latest Traverse Series model, the T10056, has a maximum capacity of 10,000 pounds and lift height of 56 feet.

On display at World of Concrete in Las Vegas in January, the machine is expected to be re-rated as an 11,000 pound machine with a foot extra in lift height. The T10056 is equipped with frame-mounted outriggers and trunnion-mounted sway cylinders. It is powered by a Cummins Tier III, 110 horsepower turbo diesel engine.

Pettibone says the T10056 is a highly maneuverable machine with a stable lifter that can reach where “most traditional handlers can't.” As with all Traverse models, the unit features 70 inches of horizontal boom travel at every lift height. The machine is designed for end users to lift and land loads in tight and hard to reach areas.

“This unit is a request from our dealers and customers as an addition to our Traverse line,” Pettibone's Product Manager Dan Blondeau told ALH, adding that purchase orders have been placed. “There only exists one other ‘transfer' boom telehandler on the market of this size class; we're providing our dealers something to compete with.”

The machine will be built at the company's headquarters in Baraga, MI and will be available April 1, 2008. According to Blondeau, the unit can be sold internationally but it is not CE certified.
