The first production models of Snorkel’s improved AB46E articulated booms are about to start rolling off the lines at the company’s Kansas factory. Kansas will start producing European models to CE specifications in the first week of May, while Vigo Centre in the UK will follow shortly.

The new AB46E has been designed with very compact stowed dimensions, good up-and-over height in and a low profile turntable hood for high visibility. It has a working height of up to 16.1 m and a 8 m outreach, with a 1.5 m, 140 degree jib.

Manoeuvrability is a key feature, with an inside turning radius of 0.60m. Multi-function boom operation is achieved via two separate pumps.
