Italian manufacturer Mase has enlarged its welder/generator range with its 5 kVA MW 180 DS model. Launched in May, a 3000 rpm Yanmar L100 AE engine drives the sound-proofed model, rated at 72 dB(A) at 7 m. The company also has new models spanning 14 to 18 kVA in output in its 3000 rpm, MPX range. They are powered by a Ruggerini, Yanmar, or Lombardini engine, depending on output, but all are soundproofed to 70 dB(A).

Mase's Italian sister company, GenSet, launched two new generators, the MG 23 SS-Y and the MG 8000 I-HE, to complete the company's portable, singlephase generator set range. Also, the company has a new, multi-process welder: the MPM 16/400 S-Y. It is soundproofed, powered by a Yanmar engine, and features GenSet's asynchronous alternator.
