Ramirent Sweden has reached a three-year agreement with Sweden-based Skanska Maskin that makes Ramirent its preferred equipment rental partner.

The agreement covered the whole assortment of both Ramirent and Skanska Maskin, from light and heavy machinery to modules and cranes.

Executive vice president of Ramirent Sweden Erik Alteryd said, “The agreement is in line with our strategy to broaden our customer base. Skanska is a major and important actor within construction in Sweden with strong focus on green construction, ethics, occupational health and safety.

“Together we will get the opportunity to develop these important areas. Ramirent has already through campaigns like Tryggare byggare and Ramirent EcoSolv emphasised the importance of these areas within the rental business. Now we will take security and environmental issues to a higher level.”

The agreement came as Ramirent’s Norwegian business signed a separate three-year nationwide deal in Norway with Scandinavian contractor Veidekke.
