25 March 2008

The huge Bauma exhibition held in Munich in April attracted some half-a-million visitors, making it the biggest construction equipment show ever held. International visitor levels also grew with numbers increasing by +35% to 160000 for non-German attendees. Visitors from around 190 countries were registered - another new record for the massive event.

A total of 3041 exhibitors (2004: 2805) were at the show, +7% more than the last Bauma in 2004. There were 1390 German exhibitors (2004: 1363) and 1651 (2004: 1442) exhibitors from abroad. Germany, Italy and the UK were the three strongest contingents at the show. The next Bauma will take place from April 19 to 25, 2010.
