Redesigned power pack ‘even more user friendly’

03 September 2015

Atlas Copco has updated its LP9-20 Hydraulic Power Pack with new design features to save the user both money and time.

“The keyword for the design of the new 2015 LP9-20 is productivity. All the new and previous features play together to create a hydraulic power pack that is both powerful and easy to use” said the product line manager Oleg Korobotchkine.

New features include the design of the hood, which can be opened for maintenance without disconnecting the hoses.

Also new is a highly visible filter indicator on the control panel to show when a filter change is due, so the user can switch filters at just the right time.

The front panel has a clearly visible sight glass that shows the current level in the system, while a larger tank cap makes filling easier.

In addition, the easy-to-reach oil by-pass switch pauses the hydraulics without the operator needing to turn off the motor. In effect, it acts as a power pause-button allowing for quick tool change.

The LP9-20 comes with a choice of power sources. The LP9-20E has a low weight, aluminium 5.5 kW, 3x400 V, 16 amp industrial motor, which make it suitable for any tunnelling and indoor job where exhaust fumes are not permitted.

The LP9-20P is petrol powered with a built-in thermo motor relay makes sure the power pack works in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +40°C, independent of power source.
