Geert Follens, current president of Atlas Copco Portable Energy, is taking on a new job as president of Atlas Copco's Industrial Air division, effective on 1 May.

The previous president of Industrial Air, Ray Löfgren, has been appointed president of the Specialty Rental division, taking over from Horst Wassel, who in January this year became president of the newly created Quality Air division within Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique business.

A replacement for Mr Follens as president of Atlas Copco Portable Energy has still to be appointed.

Mr Follens joined Atlas Copco in 1995 as purchasing manager in the Industrial Air division. In 2000 he was appointed general manager of the customer centre at Atlas Copco Compressors in the UK and has held his position at Portable Energy since 2004.

The new president of Specialty Rental, Ray Löfgren, joined Atlas Copco at Airpower in 1981 and has worked in product companies and customer centres around the world, including the Middle East, South East Asia, France and the US. He became president of Industrial Air in 2006.

Mr Löfgren will be based in Houston, Texas, where the division's management team is located and the home of many of the division's largest customers.
