Retired Harsco chairman receives OBE

Derek C Hathaway, the recently retired chairman and chief executive officer of Harsco Corporation, has been awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) by Queen Elizabeth II. Mr Hathaway has been honoured in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for "Services to Industry and Charity" in the UK and overseas.

Harsco is one of the world's leading diversified industrial services companies, its Access Services division includes SGB and Patent Construction, two of the largest scaffolding companies in the world. SGB also has powered access and mast climbing work platform rental operations.

Harsco's chairman and chief executive officer, Salvatore Fazzolari said,"The board, management and all of Harsco's employees are pleased and proud to hear of this personal accomplishment and offer to Mr Hathaway our congratulations."
