Custom Controls has launched its next generation of hydraulic actuators for use withits remote control retrofit systems.
The models MLT/FD4 and FD5 replace the existing FD and FDX versions designed to be mounted to the rear of an existing manual control valve to enable remote control operation of the machine.
“The actuators' advanced electronics, coupled withhighly responsive proportional valves give these units incredibly accurate, smooth and repeatable performance across a wide range of conditions. By using closedloop position control of the valve spool we are able to constantly monitor the input command versus the actual position of the valve opening,” comments Custom Controls.
In addition, the FD5 version features a CAN bus interface that will allow manufacturers to upgrade their control systems without the need to re-design their hydraulic circuits.
