Rolling stronger and lighter

Any weight saving is valuable on mobile cranes. It allows extra equipment to be carried and the vehicle may fit into a lower axle loadrating category. Stronger and lighter, forged alloy wheels offer a significant weight saving over conventional steel wheels. A full range of forged alloy wheels have been launched by Motor Wheel Service Group that are 20 to 25 kg lighter per wheel, depending on size – within the range 8.25 x 22.5 to 11.75 x 22.5 inches. The MWS range includes polished and machinefinished wheels, stocked in sizes from 17.5 x 6 to 22.5 x 17 inches.
