Rolls Royce Power Systems appoints new CEO

Engine manufacturer Rolls Royce has announced it has appointed a new CEO for its Rolls Royce Power Systems (RRPS) division.

Andreas Schell will take over the reigns as CEO on 1 January 2017, with current CEO Ulrich Dohle announcing his retirement.

Schell will join the company later this year and will report to Chief Executive Warren East, before beginning his new role next year.

Rolls Royce said Schell had a wealth of experience, running large complex organisations involved in high-technology engineering across a number of sectors.

On his appointment, Schell said, “I am very proud to be joining one of the world’s great engineering companies at an exciting time in its development.

“Rolls-Royce Power Systems has great prospects with strong positions in global markets. It has an impressive history and an excellent track record in delivering innovative products and satisfying customers.”

East said that Schell would be an enthusiastic leader and had a thorough understanding of product and market development.
