German crane services provider S&B Schwertrans has taken delivery of a new Terex Challenger 3160 all terrain crane. The addition is the company's sixth Terex crane.

According to Uwe Steinkamp, general manager, the new crane is ideal for the type of assignments carried out by the company, many of which are indoor projects. Its compact design, 50 metre telescopic boom and runner enable the crane to lift loads close to ceiling height. The Challenger's axle load, at less than 12 tonnes, also allows the unit to travel to any site and begin work immediately, without the need of an escort vehicle.

Already S&B is putting its new crane to use, with its first assignment being an indoor assembly project for an international car manufacturer in Germany.
