The Demag AC 160-5 all-terrain crane in S.V.M.M livery

French installation, lifting, material handling, and maintenance specialist S.V.M.M has expanded its fleet with the addition of a new Demag AC 160-5 all-terrain crane. The crane has a capacity of 160 tonnes, a main boom length of 68 metres, and a maximum travel speed of 85km/h. Terex, who manufactures the crane, said this will help S.V.M.M to respond to the demand for setting up tower cranes and building complex steel structures.

“We chose this new Demag crane to replace the AC 120 that we currently use,” said Michel Brouillard, managing director of S.V.M.M. “The AC 160-5 offers excellent load charts and is very compact for its capacity. In fact, it has the same footprint as the machine it’s replacing.”
