Cuddy Group is the first UK demolition, dismantling and asbestos removal organisation n the UK to be accredited to ISO 18001 National Quality Assurance Standard for Health and Safety Management. The award was presented to safety manager Juls Davis by MP and Secretary of State for Wales and Northern Ireland, Peter Hain, at the company Llandarcy headquarters in February.

In 2006, the company invested €5.5 million (US$7.3 million) in state-of-the-art equipment to provide the safest possible working conditions for ts workforce, as well as to provide efficient solutions for customers.

Staff at all levels and roles, from senior management down to operatives and support staff, are directly involved in a rigorous health and safety training programme, which costs approximately €3,000 (US$3,900) per employee, said the company.
