SAIA names new vice chair

The Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA) appointed Frank Bonesteel, motor equipment manager from New York State Department of Transport, as the new ASC A92 Main Committee vice chairmanat its recent Aerial Platforms Main Committee meeting, held in Las Vegas on October 30, 2013.

A further nine new members were approved for the Main Committee during the event, which was attended by 109 members and guests.

The ASC A92 Main Committee also approved nine new companies to assist in their consensus building efforts.

They: Blazing Technologies, Inc., Equipment Consultant Services Unlimited, Inc., EZ Scaffold, Hybrid Lifts, International Powered Access Federation, Irex Contracting Group, Ives Training & Compliance Group, Inc., SEA, Ltd., and Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc.

They will join 70 other companies in the ASC A92 scope to develop safety guidelines for the design, construction, testing, maintenance, inspection, training, use and operation of elevating and rotating aerial devices, work platforms and vertical devices primarily used to position personnel.
