Sales rise at Ruthmann
20 March 2013
Ruthman has claimed a successful 2012 financial year with a turnover of more than €95 million, a 27% increase on the previous year.
The manufacturer sold 500 units during 2012, it said. Sales of its truck mounted platform Height Performance Steiger series increased by 25% compared to 2011, while its Cargoloader trailers saw a 46% increase in sales. This, added a company spokesman, represented an “all-time high.”
According to the company, its Steiger T 460 platform, mounted on an 18 tonne chassis, was one of its success stories following the machine’s official launch last year. It was joined by the T 460, launched later in the year, and a 70 m version will follow at bauma to round off the Height Performance range.
Models in the 7.5 tonne and 3.5 tonne categories also performed well, said the company. “Many orders came from the core German market but our export figures are also higher than ever. Our municipal business continued to grow nicely and we are also very satisfied with sales figures from the Versalift line,” said a company spokesman.
In 2012 the company expanded its service provision with the opening of Service Point Erfurt and Service Point Munich depots. The service division will be expanded further in Germany during 2013, along with the enhancement of its production facilities in in Gescher-Hochmoor. A corporate software update is also underway.
“Sturdy machinery and state-of-the-art steel fabrication techniques are exactly what today’s customers are looking for,” said Uwe Stotmann, general sales manager. “We will be introducing five additional innovations in 2013. Customers can learn more about these exciting new models by visiting us at the upcoming bauma trade show in Munich, Germany.”
