The tracked scissor, available from rental company Schwenk Arbeitsbühnen, can be used on floors with low loading characteristics.

Schwenk-Arbeitsbühnen a member of the German rental organisation PartnerLift has added a crawler mounted scissor lift to its fleet. The scissor was developed by German aerial work platform manufacturer, Weiss, on the suggestion of Schwenk- Arbeitsbühnen, for use on pressure-sensitive floors.

A number of floors, such as those in sports halls are pressure sensitive often with maximum permissible loads of just 5 kN/m2. The machine can also be used on surfaces such as marble and tiled floors, which are susceptible to damage.

A Schwenk tracked scissor was used at the Hornburg sports centre in the Black Forest area during refurbishment to install a spatial heater. Among other benefits the new heater prevented jets of warm air diverting table tennis balls during tournaments.

The installation was accomplished quickly and simply without damaging the hall floor was not damaged or leaving dirty marks.
