Kari Aulasmaa, Ramirent's senior vice president for Finland and Europe East, is to leave Ramirent and take up a position in another industry.

Ramirent said the search for a successor will start immediately and that Mr Aulasmaa will remain in his position until April 2012, or until a replacement is in place.

Mr Aulasmaa started at Ramirent in 1996 and has been responsible for Ramirent's entire operations in Finland since 2005. Since 2009 he has also been head of the company's Europe East operations.

"I respect Mr. Aulasmaa's decision, although I would have preferred to see him continue his successful career within Ramirent", said Ramirent president and CEO Magnus Rosén, "I warmly thank Kari for his excellent contribution to the development of this Group and wish him success in his future endeavours".
