UK-based Select Plant Hire has invested in a Sennebogen 683R HD telescopic crawler from distributor E H Hassell & Sons Ltd.

The Sennebogen 683 tracked heavy duty crane has an 80 tonne lifting capacity with a five section telescopic main boom. The boom reaches 42 m with a swing away fly jib of 10 m. It has a selection of hook blocks plus a built in safe load indicator (SLI), a hydraulically extendable undercarriage and a second winch and auxiliary jib which gives this machine excellent flexibility, says the manuacturer.

Designed for heavy duty applications and rough terrain, the 683 has the ability to telescope with a load on all five sections of the main boom. Its compact design adds flexibility in transportation - it can be transported as one unit without the need to de-ballast and no requirement for additional assembly equipment.

"The 683 fits well into Select Plant Hire's fleet. The machine was initially used for demonstration hire and received excellent feedback from the operators," said a Select spokesman.
