More than 94500 people visited last month's Samoter construction equipment exhibition in Verona, Italy, up +6% on the last event in 2002. International visitors to the show also increased by +18%. Many of the overseas visitors were from within Europe but delegations from India and Brazil also attended the event.
Exhibitor numbers also rose by +15% to more than 1000 and new attractions for 2005 included a 25000 m2 test field – a first for an Italian show. “The event provided very positive signals,”said Luigi Castelletti, president of event organiser VeronaFiere. “We also saw many ‘sold’ notices affixed to many items of machinery during the show.”
The results of the Samoter International Awards were also announced during the show. Awards were presented to Nakeel, Fiori Spa, Bernardi Impianti International Spa, Astaldi Spa and Skanska AB.
