The 2009 Scaffold Industry Association Annual Conference and Exposition will feature three keynote speakers this year. On Tuesday, July 21 from 12:15 p.m. to 2 p.m., Steven Witt, United States Department of Labor - OSHA, Director of Cooperative and State Programs, will give attendees the ability to ask questions during lunch. Witt will discuss safety issues within the scaffolding and access industry.

On Wednesday, July 22 from 4 p.m. to5 p.m., Todd Peterson, attorney with Chernay/Peterson, will give his "On the Horns of a Dilemma" presentation with Bob Zinselmeier, senior litigation specialist with Specialty Claims Management. The talk is not your average session - it will be like an actual courtroom setup with two co-defendents going over a case that stems from a simple incident to a suit being filed. The session will go step-by-step through the process.

On Thursday July 23 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the "2009 Construction Outlook" will be given by Cliff Brewis, senior director of editorial operations, McGraw-Hill Construction/Dodge. Brewis will discuss how the industry is fairing during these tough economic times, covering residential, commercial, retail, institutional, health care and public works.

The 37th annual SIA Convention and Exposition will be held July 19-24 in San Francisco, CA. For more information, visit www.scaffold.org
