SimmaRent, Snorkel's distributor in Chile, has supplied two machines to one of the largest beverage companies in Latin America.

Embotelladora Andina, based in the Chilean capital of Santiago, has invested in a Snorkel A46JE electric articulating boom lift and a Snorkel S2646E electric slab scissor.

The company employs more than 4000 workers and last year achieved sales of $1.8 billion. It produces and distributes Coca-Cola products in Chile, Argentina and Brazil; and also manufactures a range of soft drinks under its own brands.

SimmaRent is an established full service distributor for many brands, including Allmand, Ammann, Husqvarna and Sullair. More than half of all its sales and equipment rental business is generated from supplying Chile’s booming mining sector.

The company also has a strong industrial and logistics customer base. Last year it sold a AB46JE to Unimarc, the third largest supermarket chain in the country, after Walmart and Jumbo. Unimarc deployed the machine at its logistics centre, which is also located in Santiago.
