Singapore-based crane contractor Sin Heng Heavy Machinery has taken ownership of more than 100 crawler cranes from Kobelco Cranes.

To celebrate the landmark, Tan Ah Lye, president and founder of Sin Heng, one of the largest crane contractors in South East Asia, and his son, Guan Tan, Sin Heng director, visited the main Kobelco plant in Okubo, Japan.

Sin Heng purchased its first Kobelco crawler crane in 2004 and, since then, has added more than 100 units, including a large number of 250 tonne capacity CKE2500s and 7250s, says the manufacturer.

In addition, Sin Heng has bought a number of 180 tonne capacity CKE1800s and 135 tonne CKE1350s. They have been put to work on a range of lifting contracts in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, as well as in Singapore.
