Skyjack recently celebrated its new dealership agreement with Modern (Singapore) Access & Equipment Pte. Ltd. with an event where approximately 100 Skyjack representatives, Modern’s staff and customers, and industry players gathered.

Modern’s dealership for for Skyjack AWPs began on January 1 and the company used the recent event to showcase a range of the company’s machines, including the new SJ86 T telescopic boom lift. Launched in Asia earlier this year, the SJ86 T is the largest telescopic boom in Skyjack’s lineup, and the recent event represented the first public presentation of this range-topping unit in Asia. This landmark first SJ86 T in Asia joins Modern’s fleet as part of an order for 60 new Skyjack machines.

“We are delighted that Skyjack trusts us to act as their dealers in Singapore, so we wanted to celebrate this union and share the occasion with all stakeholders involved in making this partnership a successful one,” said Klein Phua, assistant general manager at Modern. “Skyjack machines deliver excellent performance – a quality that our customers can also attest to – and we are proud to represent them here in Singapore.”

In addition to the SJ86 T, which is drivable at its full working height of 28.21 m and fitted with an axle-based 4WD system, there were a selection of other models on show. These included the SJIII 3220, SJIII 3226, SJIII 4632 from the company’s range of scissor lifts, as well as the SJ16 vertical mast lift, plus the SJ46 AJ and SJ63 AJ from the range of articulating booms as well as the SJ66 T telescopic boom.

Attendees were treated to cocktails and a traditional lion dance performance which marked the partnership between Modern and Skyjack. Phua and Skyjack Regional Sales Manager Ivan Huan also gave speeches to honor the occasion.

“Modern is a reputable and established company that will help grow the Skyjack brand in Asia Pacific. I am looking forward to working with Modern to serve and reach out to existing and potential customers respectively,” Huan said.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, the Modern Group is an equipment supplier in the Asia-Pacific region, with branches in Guangdong, Macau, as well as in Singapore.
