Canada-based Skyjack has opened two sales and service centres in Scandinavia and Germany in a bid to develop its market for booms in those regions.

The German facility is situated in Witten, near Dortmund, while the Scandinavian site is situated in Agnesberg, near Gothenburg, Sweden. They will provide greater capacity in those regiosn through improved service and parts capabilities, said the company.

Charlie Patterson, managing director of Skyjack Europe, said, “We are starting to see significant signs of improvement in the market. From a Skyjack point of view we have enjoyed a good reputation in Scandinavia and Germany, largely based on a simple and reliable scissor product.

"Over the last few years, and considering the future, I am looking forward to extending that reputation to Skyjack booms. The extra space demanded by booms is part of the reason for the new premises, as was our need for improved parts and service capabilities so that we remain easy to do business with.”
