Contractor, Al Shafar General Contracting Co, which is leading construction of the 52-storey twin towers Al Kazim Commercial and Office building in Dubai, chose four Alimak Scando twin hoists to ensure rapid movement of people and materials during the porject.

Using the hoists played a key role in meeting a ‘fast track’ completion date of just 22 months, project manager, Wadih El Chaer, said. He added, “From day one we knew this was going to be ‘fast track’ working 24 hours and it has not slowed down.”

The project features three basement levels, a ground floor and an eight-storey podium plus two 52-storey towers rising 44 floors above the podium to a height of 203 m. The basement and podium levels will include parking for almost 2500 cars.

The contractor took delivery of the four Alimak Scando 24/32 FC twin cage construction hoists from local distributor INMA.
