SLC bid raised

Holcim has increased its offier to acquire the remaining part of Canada's St Lawrence Cement (SLC) which it does not already own. Its latest cash offer of CA$ 43.50 (US$ 41.71) per share values the 66% stake at CA$ 681 million (US$ 652 million).

The Swiss materials producer currently holds 44% of SLC's class A shares and all of its class B shares.
