Smoothing the way for light breakers

29 June 2010

Atlas Copco has introduced what it says is the first automatic lubrication system for machine-mounted breakers weighing less than 500 kg (1,100 lb).

The ContiLube II micro is directly attached to the breaker's adaptor plate, meaning that it remains connected with the breaker when the carrier unit is changed.

The housing contains a compact pump that bleeds air automatically as required and supplies chisel paste only when needed.

This provides optimum protection to the breaker and ensures that no more paste is used than needed for the task in hand.

Operators can easily monitor the paste level inside the refillable cartridge, which contains 150 g of paste, and a screw thread allows easy cartridge change.
