Socage custom-fitted for desert

Technolibya, the official Socage dealer for Libya, has customized 90 Socage A314 vehicle mounts for use in the desert.

The Italian manufacturer's A314 articulated platforms have been installed on Toyota Isuzu trucks to provide 4x4 performance off road. They are designed to reach worksites only accessible over rough terrain.

The customised A314 has a maximum working height of 13.5 m and a safe working load of 225 kg. It also offers an outreach of 7.2 m and two additional outriggers for better stability on rough terrain.

"New ground controls with four individual levers allow the operator to deploy the outriggers and stabilise the platform even in the most difficult environment," said a company spokesman.

This platform and truck combination can also be set up facing downhill on up to a 10° incline.
