The company’s Vertilift ‘instant access platform’ is electrically powered and hydraulically actuated, with manually operated outriggers. The platform can be used when still connected to its towing vehicle. Mr Wooll told AI that one target market would be for refinery maintenance, “...replacing the set up time and expence of typical scaffolding for minor inspection and repair jobs.”

A prototype has been in field test for about nine months with two users, and the first production unit will ship this month. The platform is EN 280 compliant and priced at €14000.
