Speedy Hire, one of the UK's largest general rental companies has ordered 250 machines from Skyjack. The order comprises the SJ3219 compact scissors and the SJ12 vertical mast machine with traversing deck.

Skyjack is also providing Speedy with a comprehensive support package which includes general maintenance, service and product training for all key depot, hire desk and service personnel.

Speedy supply chain director, Andy Connor said, "Skyjack produce robust, reliable and easy to maintain products, focused on the rental market and are ideally suited to the needs of our customers".

The units are scheduled to be delivered to the all the company's larger locations and superstores by the end of August 2011.

The SJ3219 compact electric scissor has a 7.8m working height, 30% gradability and a 0.9m roll-out extension deck, it is designed to be manoeuvrable in constricted spaces and easy to service and maintain.

The SJ12 has a 5.48m working height and the high degree steer angle and subsequent zero inside turning radius makes it good for tight spaces. The 0.41m traversing platform gives the user the flexibility to reach over obstacles.

The batteries in all Speedy's new machines are being treated with Thermoil, a product designed to extend battery life and reduce maintenance.
