Speedy Hire rolls out same-day delivery service across UK

Part of the company’s Capital Commitment Initiative, the service promises to deliver items ordered by 3pm within four-hours. If the company fails, customers will be given a week’s free rental.

Russell Down, Chief Executive at Speedy, said, “Expanding our four-hour delivery promise across the UK represents a major step forward.

“Customer expectations are shifting as the Amazon effect normalises same-day delivery and we’re proud to be pushing the boundaries of how products can be hired in the construction industry.”

The company has invested over £3 million (€3.5 million) in new equipment in order to ensure stock availability for the service, which includes a number of its most popular products.

The same-day delivery service, which was originally launched in May 2018 before being expanded into London the following November, is available over the phone, online and via the Speedy Hire App.
