Leo Spierings has regained 100% ownership of Oss, Netherlands-based Spierings Mobile Cranes BV and the management has been strengthened.

Spierings said the company, founded in 1987, had chosen a clear strategic direction. “The choice is made to fulfil the ambitions of our company and to give Spierings the long-term continuity it deserves as a fully owned family business.”

At the same time Ivo Kolman has been appointed to the Spierings Group Board. With this structure, Spierings can focus on the technical development and innovation of the concepts of the company’s mobile cranes. Kolman will focus on the daily management and the professionalisation of the company. He said, “The ambitions are clear and it will be my role to develop the organisation and let everybody focus on his core competence.”

Koos Spierings, nephew of founder and owner Leo, has been active for several years in sales in the Benelux and the UK and he helped to reshape the commercial activities. Under the new structure, he will be commercial director and have the responsibility of sales and marketing. He will also join the Board.

Koos Spierings said, “The Spierings mobile tower crane has enormous potential for the future, and we will expand our concept within Europe and possibly on a global scale.”
